First boat day of the year…and Audrey’s first time out…good fun!  Isaac got to drive and did a little experimenting with the throttle.  Let’s just say he now has a healthy fear of the captain’s chair!

The Foley’s came to visit this weekend….Isaac had a wonderful time and keeps “looking” for them in the house.  Thanks for the fun visit guys!

Karen and I took the kids for a little geocaching at Folsom lake.  There was one hidden on the old Salmon Falls bridge.  Most of this hike was on ground that is usually 30 feet under water.  The water is so low at the lake that you can see the original landscape of the American River from before the dam as well as the old bridge that is usually completely under water.  Fun day and we grabbed two caches along the way.

Karen and I went up to Sierra Pines this weekend to help staff the Lakeside winter youth retreat.  We had over 80 students there this year, with about 20 “ticos” (Costa Rican students).  It was a great time and was a lot of fun since we brought Isaac and Audrey along!  This was a big confidence builder for us doing snow camping with the kids….although the high school students make it easy as they love entertaining our kids

Isaac went rock climbing for his first time ever….and loved it…..we had to fight him to get him off the wall!  Looks like we have a new hobby

So….we basically have the cutest kids ever!!  Karen’s been busy with the camera….enjoy the results.
