We made our first attempt at geocaching today. Karen and I took the dogs with Mike and Taelor and their dog Dakota for a hike on the Olmstead Trail…just north Cool, CA. We tried to find waypoints GCE81B and GCE81C. Unfortunetly, we took a wrong turn and wound up down by the American River. Beautiful hike, none the less…and the dogs were exhausted after the 8 mile trek.
After returning home, I was able to overlay some other caches on the breadcrumbs on the GPS from our hike. Looks like there were 3 caches we passed off the trail! We’ll be back soon to find those caches. Can’t wait to find my first one!

So today is my last day working at Project Arena. It’s been an *interesting* time…I hope it works out for those guys. Anyhow, yesterday we went to El Torrito for lunch and here’s a picture of the whole gang…

It’s been a good two years…I’ve learned a lot about Project Management internals (more than one should ever know), and learned even more about success/fail indicators in companies. I look forward to starting the next adventure next week at O1.
