Sacramento KingsAfter another awesome perfomance by the Kings bench and a victory over the Utah Jazz of 108 to 95, the Kings now head to the Delta Center with a 2-0 standing. Hopefully they can wrap things up while in Utah and prepare for the next series against the Dallas Mavericks.

Good Friday

18th April 2003 by cplee

Today commemorates the day Christ went to the cross for us. As we reflect back on that day, it may help to understand what that day was like for Jesus. Check out this document entitled A Physician Analyzes the Crucifixion, for a medical explanation of what He endured on the day He died.
Also, for anyone who may be curious about the history of Easter and where things like Easter eggs and the easter bunny came from, check out this link.

Radio Restoration

15th April 2003 by cplee

Sonora B22So I’ve begun the process of restoring a Sonora B22 antique radio, first made in 1939. Click the photo to the right for more pics. The radio was originally owned by Alex Haase, Karen’s Great Grandfather. The first phase of this project is to try and get my hands on the original schematics for this unit. I’m trying JustRadios.com…hopefully they’ll have a copy. I purchased all the necessary capacitors to replace the old paper capacitors. Hopefully I’ll have this baby singing in no time!

Server Upgrade!

1st April 2003 by cplee

So i’ve finally made the switch over to Microsoft. I’ve just gotten so sick of always having to reboot my Linux server when it locks up. And the constant flood of new security holes in Qmail and Apache have made me really weary of sticking with the platform I’ve been using the past 3 years for this site.
So I’m happy to report that this site is now 100% powered by Microsoft, using Windows 2000 server and IIS. Email is now serviced by MS Exchange and all the PHP and Java Servlets have been ported over to ASP. I even ditched the PostgreSQL database in exchange for some nifty MS Access database files.
I’ve abandonded vi and switched to MS Frontpage to do all my site editing and I’m even thinking of trading in my AT&T Broadband connection for an MSN dialup account…I really think the butterfly guy is going to do a great job of securing my network for me.
Well, please enjoy the new site and have a great April Fool’s Day!
