Mike, Matt, Chad and I went fishing today at Icehouse Lake. We each caught a decent sized rainbow for dinner (er…appetizers?). We also found two geocaches GCG3C0 and GCJD71. Weather sure has cooled down in the area since just two weeks ago…never got above 50 degrees. Winter is just around the corner!

Karen and I went on a hike today with 13 other people in the to Desolation Wilderness out of Wright’s Lake, west of Lake Tahoe on the Gertrude and Tyler Lakes trail. The hike was great, a good opportunity to escape the 100+ degree heat in the valley. We didn’t actually make it all the way to the end of the hike, the actual lakes, but about 1 mile short.
